Jen specializes in teaching hunters, jumpers, equitation and eventing. She focuses on correct basics and is especially skilled at helping those with past injuries or limitations as well as those with confidence issues. Jen has wonderful lesson horses that cater to people just learning to jump up through the experienced 3ft jumper or dressage rider.
Jen began riding at the age of 5, and started competing in the pony hunters at age 7. From there she went on to compete in the Equitation division, placing in medal classes, and the Jumper divisions, in top rated A and AA shows. Throughout her riding career she has learned from top industry professionals including; Anne Kursinski, Patty Stovel, Warwick Shiller,Chris Ruysen, Dennis Mitchell, Dom Shram, Michelle Gibson, Kathy Frame-Dewar, Alex Hanks Gomez, Andrea Simpson, Nikki Jewel, Lesley Stevenson, Richard Pickens, Sinead Halpin, Kristin Schmolze and Mary King.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky Jen went on to work for two former Grand Prix Jumpers (and 1 former Olympic qualifier) in Ocala, Florida. There, she showed on the HITS AA circuit and rode an average of 10 horses a day of the top caliber. Jen then returned to Lexington, KY and started managing and training at West Wind. Jen has coached riders through the 1.30-meter classes at AA shows.
Training:
Training Ride: $40 if the horse is tacked and untacked. $60 if tacking and grooming is required.
Coaching:
Coaching at Show with 1-2 riders: $60
Cross Country Schooling: $60 plus hauling

One hour private: $60
Half hour private: $40
Group hour lessons:$45
Discounts available for those lessoning more than once a week.
Hauling:
Hauling within 30mins: $60
Longer than 30mins: $ 60+ 1 minute per mile
